Hello World!

Hello All!  As a first blog, I suppose an introduction is in order.  My name is Sarah and I am an up-and-coming wedding photographer in Western Montana.  I first started taking pictures on a family trip to Vienna 15 years ago.  My first time with a camera, my family was stunned at the results has been handing me the camera since.  I took a black and white film photography and developing class about 7 years ago and have been legitimately hooked since.  I graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in art and design with the intent of becoming an event planner.

Post graduation, I moved to Orlando to work at Walt Disney World (for the second time), this time as a photographer through their internship program for students.  Thrilled to have a camera back in my hand and the ability to capture magical moments for our guests, a fire in me re-ignited.  When the internship was completed, I returned home to Missoula where I was introduced to the founder of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography.  Learning so much from him in two short weeks made me wonder how much more I could learn in his summer program.  Without regret, I signed up right away.

Three months later, I have graduated from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography with a new outlook on myself as a professional and my future as a photographer.

I enjoy noticing and capturing the little details.  I like keeping life realistic, but I'm drawn to areas of fantasy.  Weddings seems to be my perfect niche, giving me the opportunity to capture fairy tale dreams come true.
